This shows me how loyal some animals are even to strangers in fact I really didn't even know the dog. There was a cheranchela next to my mom and was about to bite her as my aunts parrot was watching the seen and flew straight to the cheranchula to kill it my mom got scared at first not knowing what the parrot was doing then she understood. This shows the loyalty of all animals not even that well known . In the article, “A change of Hearts about Animals,” by Jeremy Rifkin, he argues that the new findings by scientists show that animals are more similar to humans than we thought. In these findings we see that animals have emotion like they feel pain, get stressed, get happy and feel love like humans do. To support his claim he explains that there are studies that suggest that animals can acquire language skills, use tools, show self-awareness and pass on knowledge to the next generation. Through stating that animals are more like humans he wants humans to treat animals better.…

He elaborates how the research funded by fast food franchises reveal that pigs require mental and physical stimuli to function and how that caused European countries to change the way they treat pigs. The author extends on the similar emotional and cognitive abilities of animals and humans by demonstrating studies on the conceptual abilities of New Caledonian crows and the language abilities of Koko the gorilla. Rifkin continues to describe how animals have self-awareness and understand when they die, as evidenced by observations of orangutans…

I really enjoyed Sandra Cisneros reading of her memoir, A House of My own. I enjoyed this performance for numerous reasons. Firstly, because it was a chapter that was very fresh and clear in my mind. Whilst watching Sandra read her written words out loud I felt as if I could see my own book in front of me and read the words along with her. Furthermore, in spite of the fact that I love writing and there are certain genres and authors that I can genuinely enjoy reading, I am a very poor reader.…

Hence, in order to understand how an animal may feel, humans must place themselves in the positions of these animals and develop perceptions of how animals/wildlife experience their lives and how important their habitat is for their survival. Considerably, this process makes it possible for humans to establish similarities between themselves and non-human animals to develop compassion and feel more inclined to advocate and fight for the restoration and conservation of the environment. However, the development of these characteristics towards the environment can be rather difficult when living in a chaotic…

In today’s society, the social structure has changed drastically compared to the previous generations. The social restrictions have been loosened for quite a bit; for example, the women in the 60s and 70s were supposed to learn how to become a house wife and get married at a young age. Women in the modern generation are given complete freedom to decide on when to get married and start a family. Also, society’s focus had shifted from group focus to more on individuality; the modern generation has shown to have a greater self-esteem and sense of individuality. With all these great changes, many observers have been alarmed by a negative pattern - the new generation that has been fed with the idea of self-focus since birth has become self-absorbed…
