My Life Goals Essay

Decent Essays
My three most important goals are to succeed in life, to travel the world, and to have a family. Ever since I was a little boy I have set goals and accomplished most of them throughout the years. One of the most memorable goals that i've had in the past was when I told myself that I was going to start next year's football season. The hard work and dedication I put into that years offseason was truly unbelievable. To me goals are meant to be achieved because when there postponed the chances of actually finishing them evaporate in thin air. In my first years of highschool, I had never thought about college and what I would be studying there. It was always pushed on to the next day until my junior year when I realized what I really wanted to …show more content…
To me my family has always been supportive of my dreams. Even if some of them were silly and were never actually going to happen. When I have kids I want to be just as supportive as my parents were with me. Always encouraging me to think outside of the box.Put in effort to achieve the impossible. Even tho sometimes it got out of hand like the time I tried setting my rocket ship made out of cardboard on fire so it would fly high up in the clouds. Turns out you can't actually fly a rocket made out of cardboard. But that didn't stop me from my exotic adventures using my imagination. The key to a happy family is encouragement. I want my kids imagination to go through the roof. Hopefully not like mine did when I almost caught the hole living room on fire. That was just one of my disasters using my imagination as a kid. Although I was reckless during my imagination adventures I learned through trial and error on what to do and what not to do. When the time comes i'll be able to brag to my kids about how successful I was and the places I traveled. To me that is a huge check in my book. Setting goals for myself not only help me realize how hard i'm going to have to work but the positive aspects that come out of it. Achieving my three goals not only we be fun and challenging but it will also give me a better perspective on life and how to live

However, to obtain the right education and experiences to enable this, goals (both short-term and long-term) must be set. My short-term goals include making A’s in all of my courses this semester, securing an internship for the summer involving animals, and acing all of my chemistry 101 tests. As for my long-term goals, I want to get accepted into veterinary school, maintain a 3.5 or higher GPR as I get my undergraduate degree, and to positively impact others lives with my work.…
