My Life Of High School

12 years of school seemed to go by in the blink of an eye. I can 't believe I am already about to be graduating and pursuing the rest of my life. To me, this is truly a sad time. Life is so much more enjoyable when you are around people that truly make you happy. My friends are the ones who push me to be better in everything. Junior year was also the year I really started pushing myself in gymnastics. I completely fell in love with the sport that was causing me so much frustration. I realized how amazing one team could be if we just had some more positive energy. So I poured everything I had to 9 of the most amazing girls in this school.
Senior year. It is here. I don’t know for sure what is about to happen. But I do know one thing, I am going to make it count. So that means I am going to yell extra loud at volleyball games. I am going to dress super crazy for homecoming. I am going to give a few more smiles to people who need it. I am going to leave my mark at Britton-Hecla High School.
I know I have said this a ton, but I am truly thankful for my time in school. There has been so many memories that have been made that I will never forget about. I cannot believe I am almost graduating. I have dreamed about the year 2017 since I was a freshman, and now it is almost here. My future that I have been thinking about is now

"Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty and persistence" I have had many ups and downs over the course of my life thus far. One specific example of this took place during my freshman year of high school. When I started high school it was very challenging for me, partially due to the fact that; during this time, I was lazy, unmotivated and did not really take school seriously. This by far is one of my biggest regrets to this day. Who would ever think that not trying during my freshman year would continue to follow me throughout the course of my academic career.…

Reflecting on the past long, but yet short four years of high school, I cannot help but be exhilarated for the next four to come. I can remember the first day that I walked into the JROTC room like it was just yesterday, butterflies floating in my stomach, my nerves everywhere with a smile on my face because I knew that is where I belong. As time went I took advantage of the program by joining the Armed Drill team as another cadet. Within one year of hard work and innumerable amount of practice I became a squad leader following up to be the first female commander of the Armed Drill team that Sam Houston High has seen. With the proficiency that JROTC has taught me, I decided that it was time to seek out my dream by talking to a recruiter.…

The end of the day comes whether you have gotten up to do something productive or if you have simply remained inanimate while time moves around you. I have found that the present slips away while you are worrying about the future. We are constantly telling ourselves that if we just get through this, then everything after will be better. We forget to appreciate the moment while constantly reaching for a hypothetically more fulfilling life. Once we graduate high school, or get through a challenging class, or finish a workout, everything after will get easier.…
