One thing we’re sure about life is that it is constantly changing. People go through many changes in life whether by choice or not. There are positive and negative changes that affect our lives. It can happen in a moment or gradually over time. The most important thing about change is whether you like it or not, you have to deal with it. My life changed in one moment, but I have learned to move forward. On Christmas 2010, I was excited to get the Wii gaming console. As a result, I ended up playing my games for hours that day. When I decided to stop, I went downstairs with my brother. Like any big brother/little sister relationship, we would play fight all the time. Who knew something so normal can turn bad at any given second? I started to feel a numbness in my leg. That’s when I tried to stop fighting. The next thing I knew my vision was gone. It was dark, all I could hear was my brother yelling my name and calling my mother from upstairs. Suddenly, I couldn’t hear or see anything that was happening around me. After a few minutes, I woke up surrounded by my mother, my brother, and my neighbor. At the time I was confused, I didn’t know where I was or what had happened. The ambulance arrived shortly after I woke up and the paramedics quickly rushed me into the ambulance. On the ride to the hospital, I started to recollect everything that had happened.
