In one of the quotes from Dr. Seuss, he mentions, “it is better to know how to learn than to know” where I believe it is imperative to know what kind of strategies are used to learn in order to progress and succeed in the future. Recently, in week one of Relational Practice class, I took a Grasha-Riechmann student learning style survey (LSI) with the outcomes of 3.4 on independent, 4 on advoiant, 3.9 on collaborative, 3.9 on dependent, 3 on competitive and 4.2 on participant skills. I will incorporate the outcome of my Learning Style Inventory (LSI) and the results of the Learning Centre Survey (LCS), such as meta-cognitive awareness, collaborative and participation skills, to reflect on how I learned in the past. This reflection assignment helped me to identify and recognize my learning styles through previous experiences using the outcomes of LCS and LSI that will, in the future, help my nursing education to be effective.
