My results from the VARK learning style inventory were strong in auditory and read/write. The results from Felder’s Inventory were strong in sensing and visual. I was pretty much balanced as a sequential but at the same time a global learner. I was also balanced as an active but at the same time a reflective learner depending on the information discussed in class. Although group work is beneficial when it comes to activities in class, it’s not my most productive way to apply what was discussed in class. I usually sit back and listen to see what other people’s inputs are before I put any input into the group. …show more content…

By working or studying alone, it helps me to figure out ways to understand the materials before the next class meeting whether it’s homework or exams. I like to control my environment when I am studying for upcoming exams. The less distractions I have, the easier it is for me to study. There are times when I don’t mind being in study groups outside of class but it all depends on the people in the group. I’ve been in study groups a few times and they have been very beneficial to me especially when it comes to studying for upcoming exams that deal with practice problems.
