I have been told by my teachers, my family, and my coaches that I am a leader to the people around me. Through my earlier years in grade school, being a leader for my teammates on my baseball teams was done without thought to it. I did not fully realize that I was able to lead at that age, but as I have grown up, I have come to see that I am a leader to my sports teammates and my classmates. Now in high school, I take pride in being a leader on the football and baseball teams, and to my classmates in school. The pride I feel stems from my satisfaction of leading those around me to achieve a common goal. I have played quarterback, the position most people would say is the leader of the team, my whole life. Playing this position has enabled me to take charge of situations on and off the field. I was selected by my football coach to attend a leadership summit to represent our football team. A speaker at the event talked about how when a situation does not go your way, you say "so what; what now?".
