Leadership is something I found over this class period to be something more than just someone telling you what to do. It is something that should help everyone to be a part of and enjoy being apart a group. Leadership is having the capability to have everyone work together as a whole, and being able to successfully finish a task. Kevin Kruse from Forbes magazine has said “Leadership has nothing to do with seniority or one’s position in the hierarchy of a company” which I completely agree with. Leadership is about whether you have the intuition and the skill to be a good leader. Leaders can be found in anyone, no matter what title you hold in any given situation.

What I used to view as effective leadership was not, in fact, leadership at all. I focused solely on the in hierarchal positions in which people made decisions with granted authority. They have the ability to motivate, influence, and set a culture that is uplifting and breaks down barriers between leadership levels. It is not something that can be taught in a class, PowerPoint, or book. It is based on experience throughout a career or a combination of careers. Leadership is everybody 's business because there must be accountability.…
