My Self Assessment

Leadership is the process of influencing or motivating others to accomplish a task or goal (Kelly, Tazbir, 2014). I always find these type of self assessments difficult because it 's hard to justify a true assessment with primarily questions, without actions or history to justify the outcome. I will do my very best to be completely transparent as I feel it will give me the most realistic self-assessment.
While completing parts one and two of leadership characteristics and skill assessment I have to remind myself there 's no right answer but the questions have a tendency to have me struggling between what I 've seen , what I prefer and where I think I am. I disagree with this outcome, I feel I could lead if I had to but my personal feeling it is more important to support and those around you because I believe as a whole we accomplish more as a team then as I. A great leader will step in and do the jobs that some struggle with and encourage people to take on those things which they are uncertain of and nurture talents or skills. Strong leaders do the things others struggle with and filled in the holes where need be. I think a true leader find joy in those opportunities because are able to watch others …show more content…
I am comfortable speaking to most people in most situations; I can talk to most anyone. But on the flipside being social has been the downfall of mine since the first day of kindergarten. I came home with a note pinned to the back of my shirt saying I received a spanking because I was too social. Another spanking when I got home for talking too much. Another area of great weakness for me is my emotions, now I 'm able to keep them in check when need be but I have a tendency to take some things home. This is why I stated above that emotions could be very a poor sense of judgment. Some of my stronger attributes are that in the moment I 'm able to just see the person I 'm caring for as a person, able to submit dismiss their backstory and separate them the story. This is a quality that I had no idea I possess until I had caring for an individual who was responsible for the death of two teenage girls. I can except when I 'm wrong and I have to go out of my way to try to make it right, or at the very least apologize, I think this a positive in strengthen
