The career of working with children fits me perfectly. Since I was 14 years old my first job was working with children in a summer camp. Even though you can not really teach at that age I enjoyed helping the children doing activities which really brightened my day. Later on when I was a senior in high school, I choose to study children for my senior project. The project consisted of a research paper and following a non paid externship at any facility of my choice. I choose Thurgood Elementary school because it was close to my house. While there I did workshops with the female students on how the media portray them to try and prove my thesis. And, not only did I talk to certified teachers in the field but as well did research on having a career as a teacher. I will have no problem with finding a job because I see that the school district are looking for teachers. Or if I decide I will like to work at a daycare working with preschoolers again that is always a possibility. Lastly, I am glad that CCP has a dual enrollment program with four year universities especially Temple University.I will like to attend there soon after I have done a certain amount of credits and enroll in their 5 year education masters …show more content…
Despite my history with schools and that I am currently pregnant.I am willing to push past my fears and achieve a better life for me and most importantly my number one supporter my child. I feel with a great support system and motivation I can suppress minimum standards and reach exceptional
