After discussing it with my doctor we decided surgery was my best option. So I had my first knee surgery in 2009. They added in another ligament to try and hold my right knee in place. A few weeks after the surgery I went to have the stitches removed. I had no idea what stitches they had used. They removed the dressing and to my horror there was twelve staples and an incision about 4 inches long, as well as a multitude of smaller incisions. When they took out the stitches the incision came back open. Now a positive thing about having hyper mobility syndrome (well aside from being very flexible) is that my skin is always very soft. The downside of this is that I scar very easily and badly. So once the incision healed it stood out a lot against my very pale skin. At this point I started trying my best to keep in hidden at all
