My Journeys: Technology's Journey In The World

Technology Journey 1 Technology has come a far way from where it first started off. The new and improved devices are becoming so advanced that it is mind-blowing what these gadgets can do nowadays. Today, I use technology on a daily basis and couldn’t imagine what my life would be like without it. I say that now, but about twelve years ago when I was in elementary school, I was just being introduced to the whole new world of technology. The first time I used a computer was in kindergarten back in 2002. I remember going to the library and using a program to make pictures of animals. Little did I know computers would end up playing such a huge role later on in my life. This is where my journey with technology began. My love for technology …show more content…
Now, I can’t go a day without it. Being a college student, technology is the way we communicate with each other and it is hard to think how things can be done efficiently without the use of a computer or handheld device. I am constantly on my cell phone and I feel lost without it. This shows how dependent we are upon technology and the major role it plays in our lives. Not only do I depend on technology for school, my workday would be very difficult without it. Working in a fast paced restaurant, we depend on our Ipad’s and computer’s to do everything for us and be there when we need them. We have experienced situations where these things weren’t available to us and it leaves everyone in a panic. It is almost scary to think how dependent we are upon these …show more content…
The things we are able to do nowadays being thousands of miles apart from someone and still having the ability to communicate is incredible. I have grown to love technology more everyday and appreciate the role it plays in my life. At times, you don’t realize how much you depend on it and how much easier it can make your life. Technology plays an important role in businesses, schools, and personal lives and is definitely something that is taken for granted. Technology has helped shape and form who I am today and I am proud to understand the ins and outs of how most technological things work. It sure does make life
