As a senior student in high school, pursuing English, I spend all my days and nights trying to understand myself, at the same time looking for a purpose in life. I am a young Indonesian girl, who is passionate and focused on achieving both personal and career goals. It might sound cliched and awkward saying that I can’t imagine living a life without a purpose, or without identifying my abilities and strengths. My primary objective of being alive is not only to accomplish my academic success but also to live a meaningful life, which has positive impacts on the lives of other people around me. To achieve my dream, I need to be diverse, with the ability to acknowledge and appreciate every human being, despite their culture, background, religion, level of education, nationality or color.
Last summer, I got a chance to visit Africa. For the last part of my life, I have never had an opportunity to step my foot to those black nations. To be particular, I visited East Africa, a country known as Tanzania, where everything was new, and I had a lot to learn social skills, which sparked my personal growth and development. Nevertheless, no one who is superior or significant than others. Therefore, we are all equal, and we should treat each other with respect and fairness. I also discovered that it is important to be strong and resistant to challenges, which enhances personal growth and development. The Africans commitment and loyalty to their nation and culture despite their social and economic challenges encourages me to remain positive despite my present status, and work hard each day to be a better version of myself, fully charged with compassionate, love, and
