During my summer break, I got an opportunity to work at Intercontinental Shenzhen. InterContinental Shenzhen is the platinum 5 stars with the Spanish inspired hotel in China with. The Location in the Nanshan District of Shenzhen, it was the perfect position for travelers and business visitors, 30 minute drive to airport, 10 minutes walking to city attractions such as theme parks, shopping malls and OCT loft. The hotel provides 540 luxury rooms at 688 square meters. Two executive floors from level 7and 8, and my job is here at the Club Lounge.
Club Lounge is part of the Front Office Department, my job position title is front officer. My working time is five days a week, 8 hours per day, and my salary is 1300RMB ( $216) for a month. This is my first job in my life, and I learned a lot of knowledge from this internship experience. Also, I think that this internship was very useful for my future job, and I have a profound understanding of teamwork and individual ability to work to succeed.
In my position, I need to learn and improve a lot of skills such as the English communication ability, operating system, communication with guests, and the ability of complaint handling, because the Club Lounge is only receiveing VIP guest, so we have to constantly improve ourselves skills, to make the VIP guests satisfaction maximization.
