John Anderson, My Jo is about a couple growing old together; it is from the women's point of view. The beginning start with when they first met and talks about how when she was young she fell in love with a young man that had dark hair. The transition from when they first met to when they are growing old together is when the man’s hair is described as the color of snow. The last stanza talks about them going down a hill which, I think, is to symbolize their life together and ends with them going to sleep at the bottom of the hill, which would be them dying together. John Anderson, My Jo, I think was a nice poem. It summed up what falling in love and growing old together should be. It was relatable to me because it is what falling in love
