Investment Philosophy My investment philosophy and strategy was not just investing in a single industry. Instead, I wanted to have a variety of stocks in my portfolio, with investing in multiple different companies from different industries. I tended to gear more towards larger companies that are growing relatively fast. These companies were ones that I was personally familiar with and liked as a whole. Amazon, for example, being the largest ecommerce retailer, I believed would be a pretty good investment to have in my portfolio because of how large the company is and how well it has been doing. I intend to purchase around 6 or 7 more stocks to complete my portfolio. I want to invest in a few oil and technology companies, as well as a few more retailers. I am not splitting up my money in any specific way. The strategy that I will use in deciding whether to sell a stock or not will be based on the change of external factors, such as competition or consumer taste. I also will be looking to see if the company is consistently not hitting their goals. I think that it is a good strategy because those are important factors of whether or not a company will do poorly or not in the stock market. …show more content…
They are always coming out with new products that offer new features. I bought a low amount of shares of Apple at first just because I wanted to see how it would do. I honestly wish I had bought more at first starting out. Apple has a very strong group of followers that I do not believe will be going away anytime soon, especially with new products coming out every year that include something new and exciting for its customers to purchase.
