My Interview With Morris Reed-Personal Narrative

Decent Essays
On Wednesday I got to meet with Morris Reed at the Manor. At first I was super nervous because I am not very good with talking with adults and usually stick to hanging and helping with the kids, but after talking with him I gained more confidence in getting to know adults. He taught me how easy it was so just carry a simple conversation and learn more about people. It was really cool to hear his stories about being a teacher, but the thing that really stood out to me about him the most is his relationship with God. He shared with Abbey and I about how each day he sets a time aside to spend at least forty minutes in prayer for his whole family and also for our college. It was definitely encouraging to me to know that there are people out there

America has endured many challenges over its lifespan, but what did Americans living through those conflicts of the past think during the time? David Martin was kind enough to share his thoughts and experiences through such trials. He survived the Vietnam War, the Kent State shootings, and the Cold War, wrote the security doctrine for the Air Force, worked on making the country safer following 9/11, not to mention his countless other experiences he was unable to elaborate on. To truly understand the American obstacles of the past, an interview was utilized to examine his life and opinions, until a formal understanding was gained and was able to be combined both with the general information surrounding those events and his own experiences. David Martin’s life displays the changes America has endured in getting involved with the Vietnam War and over the decades, what the average citizen thought of it, and what they did in response.…

McKeesport isn't one of the greatest places to live. In fact, it’s probably one of the worst in Allegheny County. After the decline of the Pittsburgh-region’s steel industry and the influx in gang activity, McKeesport became a cesspool of death, poverty, and demoralization. I moved to McKeesport when I was three. Growing up, McKeesport was always a depressing and discouraging environment.…
