When it comes to my ideal President, it does not make a huge difference to me what his/her race, color or religion is. Being white, black, Hispanic or even an Asian background does not make a difference in how our country is being run. For the most part religion should not have an effect either. It however, would be very beneficial if their educational background was in Political Science along with communication skills. Being able to communicate with the public using layman’s terms gets two thumbs up from me. I feel it is important for my ideal President to understand the terminology that is being used in The White House and with our Congress leaders. In regards to the Health Care Reform, his strategy was to get the universal health care to the American people during his first term was smart on many levels. It was a quick and ambitious goal and had the possibility to not only make history that no other administration was able to do, but also had the possibility to ensure future votes for a second term if the effort was successful. He 's been inclusive in in his health care efforts to include everyone 's interests by stating in the video every voice has to be heard, every idea must be considered and every option must be on the table. He surrounded himself with a strong team who had experience in playing the political game. More positive qualities mentioned by the media included him being clear in his goals, logical, a problem solver and he hung in there even while he was under a tremendous amount of pressure by many stakeholders. Universal health care was a campaign promise and now it 's a reality. However, on the flip side, Obama was accused of going back to playing the political game. He said, “He despised so much in the video with so many secret meetings and back room deals.” It was also a close vote with the Senate passing it with 60% approval 60 to 39 and the subsequent vote by the House of Representatives with 51% majority 219 to
