Since I was a young boy, I’ve always wanted to help people in any way possible. From there I knew that I wanted to be in the medical field. I’m still undecided towards what my ideal job will be, although, If I have to choose my dream job it will be a pharmaceutical.
To achieve my goals, I need to go to a university, and moreover, that’s why I choose CSUN as my college. I chose this college because when I applied to FASA, I was accepted to receive grants from the government. That meant I didn’t have to pay for my books nor my classes for a year of college. That’s why I interviewed a pharmacist in the CSUN Pharmacy. Irina Kagan was the person that I interviewed about questions regarding towards her occupation. The first question that I asked her was, what makes this job stressful? And she responded, “ Dealing with insurance, very busy environment, giving flu shots and other immunizations.” The second question was, what else do you do? She responded by saying, “ Flu shots and immunizations, consultations, and education with patients, screening for high blood pressure and cholesterol and compounding medications.” Finally, the last question that I ask her was, what is your salary and what are the benefits and the downside of being a Pharmacist? Kagan responded by saying, “ some of the advantages of being a pharmacist is that I get a flexible schedule and 401 K retirement plan. The downside of being a pharmacist is getting time off.” Kagan didn’t want to reveal her salary, so I research the salary of a pharmacist. The majority of the pharmacist could earn up to $138,857
