Shaping My Life
I made myself into the person that I am today. I’m kind, caring and a person, which led me to change the way that I think and the atmosphere around me. I’ve always been caring and kind to others, and I’ve always thought about wanting to help people for the rest of my life. I changed that way that I think in several different ways, including changing how shy that I was and how I wasn’t looking people in the eyes when I talked to them. I also changed the way that the atmosphere was around me, by working hard in my life, and figuring out who my real friends were. I was very shy as a child, and I didn’t like to look people in the eyes. I was about 12 when I told myself that that needed to change. I made myself look people in the eyes. It was the very first step in becoming the way that I am today. I had a hard time with it. I can remember making myself look my aunt straight in the eyes when I was talking to her. It was very hard for me to do that, but over time, it got a lot easier for me. Now, I think I intimidate people because I always look them straight in the eyes while I talk to them. It was a very hard thing to accomplish but I didn’t give up and I made myself do it. I couldn’t imagine not looking people in the eyes when I spoke to them, because I feel like I give them my full attention when I’m looking at them while they are speaking. I feel that it’s a very big accomplishment for me, because I know a lot of kids that do not look people in the eyes when they speak to them. I like it when people look me in the eyes while they are talking, so I want to pay them the same respect. Looking people in the eyes wasn’t the only thing that I had to do to bring me out of being shy, I also made myself a people person. I used to be one of those kids who just wanted to blend into the crowd and not be seen or heard, but now I really don’t mind it. I love talking to people, even strangers. I work at a restaurant, and people will walk in and I will just strike up a conversation with them. Usually they ask about what I’m doing and I tell them about how I want to become a Nurse Practitioner, but not just stop there, and how I just want to help people for the rest of my life. My education is a very important part of my life, because it will lead me to do everything that I have ever wanted for my life. There was a bad situation in my life that happened and it completely changed me. It turned out that it was probably the best thing that was ever done, even though at the
