My Horse-Personal Narrative

I finally wake up and I was in a hospital bed. I had a neck brace on and equipment’s hook to me. I was thinking wow what just happen? “Dad, let’s go for a horseback ride!” I said it was finally summer break. I just finished second grade! “Okay, let’s go. Get on the back.”
At that time, we only had one horse so we rode double. We went down the roads with the neighbors in one of the hay fields they own. My horse freak out, my dad fell off one way and I fell off the other way. My horse did not know what direction to turn, so when she turned to face my dad. The horse stepped on my stomach. I wake up on the side of the hay field with my dad sitting next to me holding on the horse. I pass back out then I woke up in the back seat of my mom’s car. The doctor came in the room to talk to my parent, “Hi, my name is Slaughter and I’m going to give you forty-eight hours to see if she is going to make it.” I was in the drug induced coma for fifteen days. When I was in the coma my parents told me. I sit straight up in the hospital bed and said, “You are not killing my horse, it was not her fault.” Then I laid back down. When I got out of the coma I still was in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for another five days, but it felt like it was forever because I could not eat or drink. I could only have ice cubes. When I was finally out of ICU and I was still in the hospital for another ten days. When I was in the hospital I damage my liver ninety percent, so my liver was working only at ten percent. The doctors didn’t know what to do. So, I was a guinea pig. The doctors put more blood in my stomach then my whole body to see if my blood will make my liver start to work at a higher percent because the flow of the blood will hit my liver.
