My Hobby Is Astronomy And More Recently Astrophotography

My main hobby is astronomy and more recently astrophotography. I have not had a lot of time to use my telescope since I left for college, but I continue to read astronomy related news articles and watch astronomy related videos. My interest in astronomy was sparked during my freshman year of high school when my dad bought me a telescope and we took it to my high school at night to look at the moon and some close planets. I have also loved puzzles from an early age, and one of my favorite puzzles is the Rubik’s Cube. I learned to solve the standard 3x3 Rubik’s Cube in elementary school and from then on I have been hooked on trying to solve harder mental puzzles.
The most recent academic achievement that I am proud of is that I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Irvine Valley College with an Associate of Arts degree in teacher education. I was in the Early College Program at my high school which allowed me to take two classes each semester from the local community college, and with the help of AP credits and summer school I was able to graduate in May of my senior year, which was actually a month before I graduated from high school.
I plan to attend graduate school and earn my Ph.D. in High Energy Physics after I graduate from UCSB. I am still deciding whether I want to study theory or experiment, but I am leaning towards theory. I am not sure what I plan to do after graduate school, but my two most likely paths are a carrier in academia or financial engineering.
