Great memories were made through the brutal practices, tough opponents, and dedication. I have evolved into the man I am today because of many reasons, but the sport of football has had quite some significance. I began as a young boy who was in awe of American football. I grew up watching and playing the sport which was also known as the true football, “fútbol”, yet there was something in me that wanted to try something new as an 8th grader. Watching American football on Sundays with my father was what I looked forward to the most at the end of the weekend. The helmets cracking, student section getting wild, and being under the lights on Friday night is just a taste of what high school football is. As I look back at my very first varsity football game and having only 2 years of experience, I have no regrets. Although we did have one of our most dreadful seasons at 1-7, we looked forward. I will always treasure the film and game clips I have saved on my computer’s hard drive. If I ever have children some day, I hope to share this treasure with them. If I could share one piece of advice with anyone it would be to always look forward. When adversity hits, you have to know how to handle
