She immediately called the police, but when she did, the pleasant sounding woman said there was too much crime in Detroit right now for the police to help her, and that she would have to wait. It was incredibly puzzling to her that all the police in Detroit was gone. Eventually she just accepted it. Then, she moved her bed to the center of the room so if anything came from any direction she could run away from it, or at least attempt to. She waited about fifteen minutes until she came up with a solution to the problem. She would just get her parents. It was so simple of a problem to fix she thought to herself, I could just get my parents, she suddenly felt relief, but it was short lived. She got an orange and busted up flashlight, she turned it on and went down the dark, dirt stained carpet steps. She felt, fear and nausea. She looked to her left and saw a hacksaw, with what looked like, blood. To her right was a picture, a picture of, her mother, it had death written across it. "Why?" she thought, she started to develop tears and felt as if she'd throw …show more content…
It was nice, very nice. She didn't move from that spot because of it. She lay there for days not worried about a single thing. She eventually tried to open her eyes, she couldn't, it was as if someone was holding them shut from the outside of her eyelids. She heard screaming, people yelling her name, she tried to scream in response, but just like her eyes, her mouth wouldn't open. Police opened the door that she came into the room through, and felt sick to their stomach. There she was, in a small room, maybe three feet wide and four feet in length. Her skin was green and one eye was popped out of her skull. She had cuts all over her body with burn marks, three fingers missing and eight broken ribs along with both legs
