Just to name a few of the incredible qualities: the power of flight, stealth, strength, speed, etc. Not only will heroes have the astonishing superpowers, he or she is always commended for acts of glory and willpower. I am assured heroes pleasure when performing acts of good, knowing society is safe due to their actions. The only downfall of being a hero is the person’s true identity cannot receive credit, only the glorified other half. Along with hiding the recognized half, a costume is a must to keep the heroes’ loved ones safe and peaceful. Imagine, with the snap of my fingers, I could turn water into wine or lead into gold. Or, if I chose to be truly sinister, I could change oxygen into poison and kill all of humanity. Having the ability to alter the atomic make-up of anything on the planet means that the world would literally be at my disposal. I could create or eliminate anything I wanted. This godly power is called atomic manipulation. With invulnerability, I am immune to all manner of harm from gunfire to energy blasts to needles at the doctor's office. Throwing myself in front of allies at war and civilians in the general population is now a reflexive action because there is no need for concern of my own wellbeing. I would be a mortal human shield. Flight taps into the fearless adventurer inside the host, letting me take off and explore in any direction I choose. Just the feeling of defying gravity, the wind in my hair, the sky literally becoming the limit is why flight is the most appealing of all superpowers. The power to choose is presented. Regardless of the powers I have chosen, I would do whatever I think is right, regardless of what people think about me. Right and wrong are not what separate us. It is our different standpoints, our perspectives that separate us. Both sides blame one another. There are no heroes or villains just two sides holding different views. The world is far more grey than black and white. Judge us not by our methods, but by what we seek to accomplish. Taking that into effect, why would one want to kill, steal, and destroy when they could assist, rebuild, and create?
