My Hero Research Paper

When we think about a hero we picture a person with superhuman qualities. A male character in a book, play, or movie, who is typically identified with good qualities. In reality a hero is someone who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements. How about someone who’s been paralyzed for 18 years and in constant pain everyday reason why this person had to take painkillers high doses to numb his pain. Not exactly what we picture as a hero but that person was my hero and his name was Brian. He had so many obstacles that he had to go threw but that never brought him down he always had a smile on his face. Every time I would come to see him his smile got even bigger than the last time. He was more than a client to my mom. From time to time he became a family member like a father that I never had. He also became my best friend who would always give me advice when needed. Sometimes my mom would feel down but after spending her day at work with Brian her mood would change and she would feel a lot stronger to continue her day. When my sister and I would visit he would order pizza and we would be talking for hours about life and plans for later. Unfortunately everything started to go down the hill when he’s daughter over dose a month after her 17th birthday. The day two police officers came to his house to tell him the news about his daughter was the same day he was swallowed into darkness and he was never the same. Still he would always tell me to put a smile on and to do good in school. He promised me that he would come to my graduation but unfortunately death didn’t give him a chance to attend. I know when I walk across that stage he’ll be proud of
