As I lay still, (deathly still, deathly quiet, lifeless) I think to my self, “ am I hearing things, have I gone crazy?” (delirious, insane) I hear the noise coming from down the hall, I jump up and cautiously walk toward the bedroom door, the slightest light shining off from my alarm clock is glaring threw the dark (Lightless) bedroom. Grasping the bedroom door handle, getting ready to rapidly open the door, the noise appears again. I quickly but quietly get back to my bed. I sat and thought about all the noises I was hearing and what had happened during the night. I wasn 't sure what to do. I waited for April to wake up. Meanwhile I texted my dad to see if one of my brothers were home because I could hear someone down stairs. I listened carefully and heard a more muffled noise coming from the basement. It almost sounded like a person coughing and chocking, I just ignored the noises. April finally awoke and I told her about what I had been hearing. Of course she knew I was telling the truth, but she didn 't think it was a big deal at all. She thought I was hearing the furnace, or other appliances through out the …show more content…

As i was coming back up the drive way my grandparents and aunts were calling me to ask for help plowing there drive ways. I see April standing in the drive way, we jump in the truck to go plow people out, and she tells me she heard a loud bang from my basement while I was out side, and thats why she was waiting for me in the drive way. We read literature to gain knowledge and some perspective. It also serves as an example for us to learn to be nicer and kind to others. For instance, the writers reveal truths that we are often oblivious to, we can also see the perspective of others, as well as learning from exemplary figures, and we often learn from the mistakes others make. We can witness the consequences of the actions taken by some people from reading about it and thus making us more self-aware. In the graphic novel Darkroom: A Memoir in Black & White written by Lila Quintero Weaver, the events that transpire are an example of this knowledge and perspective that we acquire just from reading it.…

But I was not, I had a fear of getting hurt, from falling and scraping my knee to just fighting. I heard thumps that roared across the other side of the dome building and bellowing from each person as a kick or punch was thrown out.
