Hawaii, the home of white sand beaches, pro surfing, hula dances, and warm weather. If I could move to any region within the United States, I would move to Hawaii with no hesitation. Hawaii contains a prestigious hospital and the opportunity to become a surfer. Both of which of which I have always dreamed of being a part in. Nothing would make me happier than becoming an orthopedic surgeon operating out of a Hawaiian hospital working on shark attack victims and other unlucky victims who need orthopedic repair, then go straight to the beach to surf and relax for the remainder of the day.…

I knew I couldn’t eat all the food I brought with me because I wanted to save it for the rest of the trip. We stopped and ate a nice, filling meal at eight o’clock at Cracker Barrel, and after that, we were off on the road again. After not getting enough sleep the night before, I had to get some sleep as we continued on our way to Orlando. I found a great place to sleep that was not crowded or had a seatbelt sticking out of it like the chairs did. And that special place that I found was the floor of the bus.…

In the islands of Hawaii, Hawaiians depended on the land, scavenging for resources to gather in order to survive. Hawaiians became accustomed to the landscape and began to learn how to farm to grow local plants, how to hunt, and fish from the local wildlife. Now days most “Hawaiians” spend time at home on their ipad or in front of their TV or computer screens. Even though there's the ocean to swim in, and the mountains to hike and relax, people still avoid this. Caught up in the fast pace lifestyle of businesses, they forget what's really out there.…

The hospitality of Hawaiians amazed me. They were never bothered by the endless clusters of tourists but rather seemed to enjoy our company. Americans have a reputation for being rude, but Hawaii is definitely the exception. The smiling, carefree attitudes of the people and the positive spirit they show is what stood out the most. “Aloha” is a Hawaiian word meaning love, and it is used as a greeting, clearly reflecting the locals' friendly, welcoming nature.…

So, it all began at the airport, looking out of the window I could see our plane, It was a bit intimidating and I was really nervous because this was going to be my first time on a plane. Once we FINALLY got there my friends and I decided to take our shoes off and find a perfect spot in the white hot sand to set up of chairs and umbrella. My initial thought of going to Japan is “Are we going to see some awesome neon city in Akihabara or are we going to some rural area with some magnificent landscape that I have seen in the magazines?”. Surprisingly my dad told me we are going to stay in Japan for a month with my grandma and grandpa in Sapporo where many fresh meat is being made locally. Day before the journey begins, I realized this will be my first time riding a plane as well. This frightened me because I am afraid of heights. I fixed this by reading a book on how to not be afraid of heights while riding the airplane (This is funny because my dad thought I was ridiculous).…
