My Greatest Obstacles

My parents had been my biggest inspiration in life. They have taught me to do more than what is expected. They have motivated me the most to become who I am today. Being a Hispanic is not as easy as it sounds. We face several of challenges that we have to overcome. Challenges that that has led to failures. In my experience I have faced many circumstances that has affected me and led me sometimes to failure. Life isn’t easy but we learn from the mistakes we make. My biggest obstacle was my mother being hospitalized almost close to death. It was a very difficult time for my family and i. More because we didn’t have any help to pay the medicine nor the hospital. It wasn’t the first time she was in the hospital. Her first time was on March, 2007. Her severe …show more content…
It felt like forever trying to wake her up and take her to her room. My other abruptly stood up and walked to her room to lay down. “Estoy bien hija, porque tengo sangre?” (I’m fine, why do I have blood) Sobbing I told her that she fainted. I called my dad telling him what had just happened. He was on his way already but it will take him 8 hrs. to get here. In other words, he will be here in morning. He told me to rub alcohol in her nose with a napkin so she could smell something strong. Later I called my grandma to see if my uncle was there so he can take up to the hospital. My uncle Miguel rushed to my house and begged my mother to go to the hospital. She would abjure because she would say she was fine. Until, we made her realize that she had to go. We went to the Regional Hospital 24 hour Emergency Care. The wait was long, I would tell the men with his blue uniform to please attend my mother immediately because she was vomiting in the waiting room. A few minutes later they called her in. I accompanied her inside to her assigned room. They started asking many questions. I honestly just wanted for the doctors to attend my sick mother. The night went by faster than a lighting
