My Personal Heroes Only about 20% of Americans have done heroic deeds. Philip Zimbardo says, “we all have our own inner hero.” The most important quality of being a hero is honesty. I know a few heroes, and for good reasons. My Grandpa’s are my heroes because they’re brave, strong, and willing to risk their lives for others in the war. One reason my grandpa’s are my heroes are because they were brave. Both of them came close to death in the war. Both of them fought for the U.S. citizens freedom.
