She liked to play in the mud and enjoyed riding her bike. Her favorite foods were spaghetti, her mother’s chocolate cake, dumplings, green beans, vanilla ice cream, and stuffing. For fun, Glenda rode her bike, played baseball and hide and go seek, read, and listened to the radio. Her favorite toys were a boy doll called Tommy, marbles, her hula hoop, board games, and paper dolls. Tommy was the favorite out of all of them. Glenda’s childhood was both work and play. They get on well throughout life, and my grandmother is proud of each of them. She loves her grandchildren, too. She has ten grandchildren: Noah, William, Harrison, Clare, Brenna, Anya, Stephen, Claudia, Josephine, and me. She enjoys the fact that with grandchildren you can do fun things with them and not have to be responsible for them completely.
Many things have changed throughout my grandmother’s life. There is more technology, and it is common to have more than one car. Glenda thinks that technology is both good and bad for the world we live in. One thing is for sure, we rely on technology for many things.
On September 25, 2015, Alden died. He was rushed to the hospital and there he died. It left a hole in many hearts, as my grandfather was a very social person. My grandmother is still telling people about it today. He knew many people.
In the end, my grandmother is an amazing person. She has a fascinating life and many things happened during it. She has affected people in good ways since 1945. She has been through hardships and joys. She has worked hard to be a good mother, wife, friend, nurse, and grandmother throughout her life.
