About two years ago, When I went over my grandparents house on a nice, quiet, and peaceful Sunday. My grandma was in the kitchen cooking Sunday dinner as she does every Sunday. Then all of a sudden I heard the telephone ringing. “Ring ring”, the telephone went on and on ringing. We couldn 't find the phone so I went to press the find pager. Ten minutes later we found the telephone. My grandma would always misplace everything so, I wasn’t surprised to find the telephone hidden under a pile of dirty clothes in the laundry room. The telephone rang again my grandma hurriedly answered the phone thing it was my aunt. My Aunt Josie wanted to die here knowing she had no family but an intermediate family in Florida, all of the family are from North Carolina. During her time at my grandma’s house, I helped her a lot. I helped clean her and sometimes put her into a wheelchair when she wanted to be moved outside or into another room. My aunt was becoming very ill and frustrated. Her hair was falling out so, she decided to just shave her head completely bald. My aunt 's legs, arms, and hands were losing friction so, it was hard for her to do anything. I tiptoed into my aunt’s bedroom quietly so I wouldn 't awaken her. She was laying down not moving or nothing. To be honest I thought she was dead so, I started freaking out! I didn’t know what to do. Gladly I heard a car pull up and it was my grandparents, I ran outside and shouted, “Aunt Josie isn’t moving”. They called the ambulance in a hurry. My heart was pounding hard you could hear it miles away. When we got to the hospital the doctor informed her that she only have a couple weeks to live. Aunt Josie had decided to come home for her last days. My aunt was still alive and talking a little a month later but, was delusional and …show more content…
I didn’t know how to act knowing she will die soon. A week later I went over to my grandparents house to see my aunt for one last time. My aunt was blubbering words to me softly, I couldn 't understand what she was saying. All I heard her say is “bye” while coughing excessively. That next morning my aunt died. I didn 't know how to act so I didn 't talk to anyone for a while. The day of the funeral everyone was crying and shouting in pain while I was calm; I didn 't want to show my feeling to people. I was so sad that morning that I didn 't want to get out of the bed but, I knew I had to show my respects to my deceased
