My grandmother is a strong, hard-working, intelligent woman, who is has never been afraid to tell what she is really thinking. She is average weight and height with silvery hair and bold brown eyes. My grandmother has never been anything like the stereotypical grandmother who is a sweet old woman, always carrying a plate of fresh baked cookies, although she does make the best cookies. She just seems very different from the fairy tale grandmothers. When I was younger she always seemed like the perfect get-a-way from my parents. But as I have grown up I have realized that she has played a much larger role in my life than just a summer vacation, and really anyone, could have predicted it based on our bond.
