I am going to discuss about my traveling grandma Madeline living situation these days. My grandma now lives in San Diego, California she has lived in United States for the past 16 years now. Before coming to the United States she lived in Jordan for 4 years and prior to that she was living in Bagdad, Iraq independently she had own her own apartment. The city that she lives in currently is El Cajon, CA, which is a city in San Diego. Which has the largest culture of Assyrian, Armenian, Chaldean Americans population. My grandma Madeline is part of that culture so it makes her felt like being back home a little bit. My grandma Madeline has been a widow for over 40 years. My grandma had a total of six children. The first time it happened she was at the park with the family. It was one her grandchildren’s birthday party when it occurred she stated, “ you can feel the ground shaking and things moving and shifting”. When it comes to earthquakes something that cannot be controlled or stopped it has to basically run it course. She stated, “She felt a bit tired and got a headache afterwards she remembered.” It mostly likely a little bit of stress which grandma Madeline has never experimented something like that before in her life until living in California. Also something to think about as well most houses in the United States are typically built in a wood frame. So when you have a wooden home I guess its better scenario to be in case of a natural disaster such as an earthquake occurs. The wooden home stands up better when an earthquake does happen. If you have a home that is built with brick or concrete it can be dangerous situation to be when it can fall on you, which is an awful circumstance to be in. Basically, it just depends where in the world you may choose to live and what resources are available such as wood, brick or concrete when also building a home.
