My Grandfather: A Michigan Hero

Decent Essays
To me my Michigan hero isn't just any average person here in Michigan but to everyone around them they were. This person was always kind to everyone she met and she was always there for me and for all her friends. She did lots for Ludington like help with the Fourth of July parade, the boat show, and she made sure everything worked and was good down at sportsman, Barley and Rye, and the Mitten Bar. But I don't know what I would do if my grandma was never alive.

I have many times that I love about my grandma like any time my dad and my step mom would fight she would always be there to take me and my brother to go get ice cream or something so that we don't get involved in all the arguing. She was a wonderful lady that took care of my great aunt that is 96 years old who can't see even with her glasses on and she

She would say hi to everyone That she knew but the best part that she had during summer was me and my dad coming to visit for two or three weeks. When I broke my leg this year on my winter break I went skiing and I broke my leg and when I got out of the hospital my dad had to work so my grandma took time off of work and offered to take care of me while my dad bartended.
She even helped pay for a new ticket because I wasn't allowed to fly back till the doctors cleared me to fly. So my grandma payed for me to fly back in first class and that was the last time I was able to hug her and give her a kiss. My grandma passed away on the night of my grandpas 70th birthday.she tripped walking up the stairs.

So my grandma was a kind, loving, and caring person that everyone loved. But she is my Michigan hero because of everything she did for me and all the stuff she did for every one else.
She is dearly missed by many people but she is always with me were ever I go, life is the best with my

Who is a hero for you? Many people answer that from superheroes to a war hero because people have different views on heroes. However, heroes are for me people who think of others first before they think of themselves. The best example of heroes is Terry Fox who was a Canadian and marathoner. Even though Terry Fox had his right leg amputated at the knee because of cancer, he tried to run across Canada to raise money for people with cancer, so many Canadian admire him.…

My Michigan Hero Essay If I had to describe how I feel the only way I can is by saying that I feel like a pane of glass that's been shattered and put back together with ductape that doesn't stick, or like I'm drowning in my own depression. One person has always been able to bring me back to a little bit happier state, that person is my 53 year old grandpa who is also a tow truck driver, a semi driver, and a fireman. My grandpa has always been special to me because no matter what I do or how I feel he can manage to put a smile on my face. I remember going to my grandpa's "adopted" parents (Flourence and Neal's) house which also happens to be who he works for when he's driving tow trucks.…

Everyone has a hero, either it's their mom, dad, family member, or whoever it maybe. A hero to me is someone who drives you to do better and that can be anyone. Beowulf was the anglo- saxon’s hero because he was believed to be the man and the most powerful during his reign, my hero isn’t even a powerful fighter but he as strong and considered a king and that is Lebron James. To me he is a leader, very reliable, and will be unforgettable, and Beowulf and Lebron has a lot of similar traits During the Anglo-saxon period Beowulf was the king of the Geats. “I shall fulfill that purpose, prove myself with a proud deed or meet my death here in the mead-hall."…
