Going into my senior year following previous senior classes, I had an idea of what to expect when it came to being prepared to leave high school, then to go on and further my education by attending college. Watching these classes, I’ve learned to make it my top priority to ensure that I have nothing to worry about after graduation. Now, due to my strenuous work ethic and perseverance, I will be attending Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University located in Tallahassee to major in Music Education in the fall of this year. There were so many stories about people who have that one or two songs being a hit, and then that being the end of their careers or those musicians turning into a mess. Also being a person that prefers more privacy and personal space, it seemed like a not so much of a fun career. I decided that I should follow my parents’ advice because they know what is best for me and I’m academically better off than through entertainment. These significant events of learning the experiences I would have gone through both paths and the influences from those around me have made an impact on my ability to determine my destiny. This is to choose to listen to my parents and working hard and do my best in school, to hopefully earn a useful degree.…

In order to explain the reason of why I want to attend the Musicians Institute’s Bachelor Program, I would need explain a bit about myself first. You see, when I was young, I've never really had friends or anyone to really talk to, and because of this, I spent most of my childhood alone. Due to the position I was at, I tried to fill in the missing void by wandering inside my imagination, so naturally for most of my time I would be day dreaming. One day I was driving with my parents to school and a certain song came on, and while that song was playing, my imagination went out of control involuntary to the music and started to create a story based off of the song I was listening to, not only that, it also made me feel some type of emotion, if I recall correctly, the emotion that I felt was, happiness. After that moment, I began hearing more songs from a variety of different bands and artists, and the more songs that I began to hear and like, the more my imagination…

As summer started to end I was asked frequently: “Are you ready for college?” During my break I could not get over the fact that I have just graduated high school and now I am off to Cal State San Marcos. Summer seemed like a flash and college was creeping behind my shoulders. During the last miserable two weeks all I could imagine was that my hope and dreams were going to be trampled by my fears. When I applied to San Marcos I was full of optimism, not knowing that college would be harder than expected.…

Entering IU Bloomington as an undergraduate freshman would enable me to begin my journey in trying everything I’ve ever wanted to do; learning how to play the violin, and becoming a virtuoso in the piano and the guitar. With the skills I will develop at IU Bloomington, I would love to be able to pursue a musical career in composing music, or being a singer/ songwriter. Besides music, however, I would like to try my luck at being an actor, improve my acting skills, my singing ability, and possibly become an actor for film/ television, and/ or becoming a broadway singer. Furthermore, I would like to span my wings and dive into pursuing a career in writing, astronomy/ astrophysics, and becoming either a surgeon or veterinarian. I enjoy being…

The main purpose I plan to study music education is to achieve my dream. My dream is to open a program to teach underprivileged children. There is a program in Venezuela, El Sistema, that holds similar qualities that I have in mind for my future music program. It gives the gift of music to kids from poverty-stricken areas, and it is extremely successful there, serving nearly 700,000 people at any given time.…

Being in my last year of high school I have begun to think about what goals I want to accomplish during college or after college. I have come to a conclusion that after college I would like to obtain my doctorate degree in Veterinary Medicine and start a family. After college I would love to get my doctorate because I enjoy helping animals and their owners. Growing up I have always had a soft spot for animals in my heart, but by majoring in wildlife sciences, it will allow me to come out of my shell and take a different path from just dogs and cats. Also by majoring in this department, I hope to encounter different cultural backgrounds so that I can grow culturally and learn about others while helping them with whatever struggles they…

The main reason why I think that HACC is the best choice for me is because of the cost. The rates per credit are around $250 and that is for in-state residents. The total cost for a commuter would be around $13,750 for a student who is full time, which means they are taking 12 credits per term (Stager). This price of $13,750 includes the price of books, supplies, food, and transportation and it is an average price for all HACC students (HACC.edu). I think that I could easily cut some of the cost by trying to buy my books online for a cheaper price or even eating at home to save a lot of money.…

Beyond my LSAT score and my GPA, I am a creative individual with a penchant for learning. My career goals have fluctuated between wanting to be an attorney or a professional singer my whole life. After only one semester of trying to do both, I decided to drop the music major and pursue political science solely.…
