Over the many years I have attended school, I have noticed that being a teacher is a profession that I have always wanted to be a part of because of the direct influence they have on the future and current generations. As a student, my past teachers created goals for me and established what they wanted me to accomplish for them and for my generation. These goals that were once created for me have affected the goals I will one day create for my students. There have been many influences for me to become a teacher from my past and present. My past teachers are one of the greatest influences in my life. These influences that have come into my life are also why I want to become a teacher and who I want to become a legacy for. The things I hope to accomplish as a teacher are many of the same things my past teachers wanted to accomplish. I want to give all children I meet hope. This is not only limited to my students but to the kids across the hall and the kids I met in the grocery store. As a teacher, you never stop teaching, you just relocate as the day goes by. …show more content…
Even as a young child, playing games with my sisters, I knew it was what I wanted to do one day. As I grew up, I realized more reasons why I wanted to become a teacher. When I turned thirteen, I received my first babysitting job. From that I realized that I loved kids, and even if they were three very bad little boys, I fell in love with them. From that moment, I realized I wanted to work with kids for the rest of my life. Even when I got older, I still loved them and wanted to work with them but I realized that I needed to work with them. I needed to make a change for the future because the kids I went to class with were not motivated. They did not have dreams and I know they did at one point in time.
