No matter what the family structure is like, students tend to do better in school when families play an active role the school life. William Alexander knew this and wanted schools to bring in community partners to help students become more career focused so that they could start planning for college and their futures. The founding fathers also want to make sure that the schools included comprehensive health and wellness curriculum and actively involved the students’ families in the students’ education. Students ' attendance is more constant, academic performance and student motivation are increased, and behavior management problems decrease when parents are involved in their school life. Schools with more family involvement and parent-teacher collaboration, have a more diverse, enriched, and career based curriculum that keeps the students focus on their goals and the future. As a teacher it will be my job to encourage more parent involvement in their students’ school life to increase student success in and out of the
