Everyone should set goals for themselves no matter what they plan to do in life. It is important to develop goals because without them, there is no progress. Goals help you succeed in life and also provide a foundation that guides you throughout your journey. Once these goals are accomplished, you’ll have this feeling of relief from overcoming obstacles in order to reach them. My goal at this moment, is to do only a year at Camden County College then successfully transfer to Syracuse University sophomore year. After obtaining my bachelor’s degree and graduating with honors, attending graduate school will be next. For the purpose of, receiving my master’s and doctorate in the Communications field. In addition, getting a good education is extremely important in today’s world. Coming from a family where teachers are prominent, they have always stressed the value of education. By watching how she puts so much dedication into her work, it inspires me to do the same. For example her choreography, which takes a lot of stamina to execute it well, without missing any important steps. I also admire her drive motivates me as well, due to being consistent with herself for almost two decades. As I stated in my grit paper, my family has always been my motivation. Specifically the women, who had accomplished tremendous things in their lifetime. All of the women, worked hard to reach the goals they had set before settling down. I think having drive, intelligence, charisma and being focus helped them succeed in a white dominated field. Another motivation of mines are teachers, who likes to envision their students doing well academically and socially. The teachers of elementary, middle and high school all had grit to perform tasks that were probably deemed impossible.
