Resting my head on the seat and closing my eyes, I half listened to them. Within about ten minutes of driving, I heard the word Mormon. I looked up and listened closer to what they were talking about. He had asked if we were Mormon, since we were from Utah and had so many kids. I was surprised that he, being from a different country, could tell within minutes that my family was Mormon. I tried to keep listening, but my stomach would not let me look anywhere but the window. I was appalling to me, but it was an incredible eye opening experience. The bubble that I live in has not been burst yet, but it has become thinner. Ever since that trip I have been more aware about how many people live in a state of poverty where life is almost unbearable. One of my goals is to go bad and help in any way that I can to help those people. If I could change just one person’s life it would mean the world to me, because I know that seeing how they are living changed my life. It changed how I see things and it softened my heart in a way I can not
