The gift to America

My grandpa served in World War II. My grandpa served as a soldier. The soldier's protected me and family for many years that’s what they did for me and my family. My generation got me this far because we live in America and It’s the land of the free. Many adults join the military protect us for years and years down the road. They served and died for me and died for America but they still fought and won. My grandpa Is still alive and he Is 80 years old. My grandpa encountered Japanese and took a sword from the Japanese soldier. He still has the sword in his den in a frame. He still has his gear from the war a helmet, cloths, cantine. The exciting thing Is i get his sword when I grow up and his gear from the military.
