I remember the time when I was scared to the death for the first time in my life, it was during the winter vacations of my school after the 1st semester exams of 3rd grade that our family decided on the fact of visiting our native place Dehradun in Uttrakhand. The place was quite the ideal place for someone like me who loves a slow-paced and a relaxed life as whenever I visit the place the weather is quite revitalizing, the air is quite fresh and cool which makes the place as heaven when compared to the life experienced in the city. The best thing about visiting your hometown is that I get a chance to meet my siblings and being the only son can be quite boring if you have no one around but, in my hometown, it was time for reunion and loss of boredom. During our stay there we siblings gathered at our house there were 2 of my sisters Nikita and Ashima and 3 of my Brothers Shubham, Daman and Abhishek and the 5 of them were all older than me. During that night we had a lot of free time with us so Shubham suggested that we go and venture the oldest graveyard present in the village as it was a graveyard with the oldest ghost stories and rumours surrounding it from the time even when my father was a child and trust …show more content…
At that moment Ashima suggested that we should head because we can’t even see what is in front of us but Shubham was prepared he brought up two torches and handed one to her and kept one to himself and well that was the start of our expedition. Well the place was the scariest I saw and explored as I was a guy who was scared of the dark and to a person like that a graveyard is not a play area as I used to believe in ghosts and with stories of spirits having their midnights walks was enough to make me cry but, this time I

Jacob Tellas AP English Wang Restarted on 10/3/16 Ghosts With some knowledge of war, one can begin to appreciate Tim O’Brien’s “The Things They Carried”. Tim O’Brien is a veteran, as a result, there are many things he takes for granted and does not tell us, making us wonder if it is fact or fiction. America’s involvement in the Vietnam war resulted from internal domestic politics rather than from a national spirit. The soldiers were disembodied from the war, just like ghosts. O’Brien uses syntactic illusion to express the idea of ghosts thoroughly but indirectly, as to further convey the sinister nature of war.…

Having a paranormal experience can be bloodcurdling, but it can also be a phenomenal experience to look back on. When I was about thirteen years old, I had my first experience with a Ouija board. A Ouija board is used to communicate with people that are no longer among the living. I was with my uncle Elvis, who is my mother’s brother. My uncle took me to his friend’s apartment, and at that moment he pulled out what appeared to be a very ancient Ouija board.…

As president of my high school's Key Club, it is my job to organize service activities for our members to volunteer in. One of these activities is the local haunted house sponsored by the Front Royal Little League. This fundraiser for the little league started when Mr. Bryan Binnix stepped in to save it from plummeting. Mr. Binnix discovered that the program wasn't making enough profits until his brother, Mr. Bobby Binnix, wanted to make a change, thus they proposed the idea of having an annual haunted house. Since the first year in 2012, the fundraiser has raised approximately $9,500.00.…

We had been planning on going to this old abandoned house for some time, and now we were finally going to see if it was truly haunted or not. Well, as we walked I had noticed a blueish, greenish, truck driving down the silent back road. We really didn’t pay much attention until it started to get creepy and the truck started following us. By the time we had noticed we were already close to the house and we decided to dart into the woods, to a tree that we could climb and see what was going from. Our hearts were pounding from the anxiety, and I had noticed both of us had our hands clenched around our pocket knives that were probably a little too big to be carrying around in public.…
