My Future Career Essay

Since the beginning of my school days, people always questioned me on what I want to be when I grow up. It has always seemed like a simple question, but lately everything seems to revolve around my future career. Everyone asks me what career I plan to take on, or what I want to major in. To me it is very strenuous to answer these questions, because I have yet to decide what I want to do with the rest of my life. When we were in kindergarten we were asked what we sought to be when we grew up. My answer was a doctor, my desire was to cure the sick and help the injured. Again they asked us in third grade, my answer was a fashion designer, and model. Later in middle school, we were asked to portray our future job, I explained how I wanted to be …show more content…
I have even taken career placement tests, and the choices that I have been given actually grasp my attention. In the latest career placement test that I took, my options were business management, marketing, and also teacher in education. Teaching sounds nice because I enjoy helping others, but I am not a patient person. Business management, grabs most of my attention, because I like to be in charge, I like being able to have say in what is done and how things are done. Even though I am not 100% sure if I really want to pursue a career in business management, although I plan on keeping it in mind and doing everything I can to get into one of the best …show more content…
The cost for fields in business management range from $41,000 to $74,000 annually. The pay rate all depends on what field one is working in. Me? I am still not sure what field I want to work in, but I would like to travel and meet new people. Communication is very important when working in the business field, especially if I want to travel. Communicating can vary in many ways, from verbal to non-verbal. If I am in a scenario where I do not know the language, I can always turn to a computer and search for whatever language I am trying to comprehend. Writing reports in a business career is also very important, this is where computer usage comes in. I can be expected to write different types of reports, from written to numerical reports. Following a career in business, can open many doors in my life. I could be the next CEO if the biggest company in the world. Business could allow me to work in any company in any position that requires the talents that I have acquired in my career. Banks, advertising agencies, insurance companies and even retailers could give me an opportunity to get a job. The fields in business management are so diverse and so wide that there isn’t a job that I wouldn’t be able to apply
