My Friendship

It was sophomore year and everything was wonderful. I have made a couple of amazing close friends last year. Which consisted of Kate, Gertrude, Olga and I. We call them Gertrude and Olga because it is an inside joke. Our friendship was strong and spectacular. We live on the same block, so we would hang out plenty of times either fooling around, or going on a bike ride and enjoy the fresh air. It was early october, and Kate was chatting a lot about how she wanted a relationship. To be fair, the others did plenty of times as well, but she was looking to do something about it. Coincidentally, another friend of ours, named Danielle, had some good news. Danielle, Dani for short, was also friends with two people from the group other than I. They …show more content…
Dani had something important to tell us. Abby was driving and we were waiting for her to say what she had to. She started to cry and we quietly heard “I’m moving to Minnesota”. We were all shocked at what we heard. She was to move at the end of December. After she told everyone, we all spent time with Dani as much as we could. Dani wanted to go to one of James’s hockey games before she left. So Dani, Kate, Jess, Gertrude and I went. We were huddled together, but the cold didn’t stop us from having a good time. We drank hot cocoa while having hilarious conversations, and snapchatting anything and everything. Later on we went to McDonalds and got some food. We stayed in the car eating while Kate drove around until Dani had to go …show more content…
She has made a few great friends and seems to be doing fine. We chat just about everyday because we are close friends and chat about anything and everything. Olga, Gertrude and I’s friendship with Kate was close to breaking. But Olga and Kate had a field trip to New York City. Olga wanted discuss why their friendship was falling apart. Which is exactly what they did when they were in their hotel room. But after their vacation Kate continued to push us away so we confronted her in a group chat. We asked why she has been pushing us away ever since she has been in a relationship. She would defend that a lot has been going on and all other lies. Olga pointed out that Kate’s boyfriend 's car has been at her house just about everyday. The only thing Kate said to respond was “He was helping me get thru these hard times”. In the end the argument went no where but down. Leaving everyone angry and confused. Our friendship with Kate seemed to be

“Black Hair” by Gary Soto has a specific line that reminds me of what an average day in high school for me was like, “The days were dull. I did what there was to do from morning until the bell sounded”. I usually felt this way because, like Soto in his autobiographical story he felt alienated from everyone around him. I am about to tell you my story of a time in my life where I felt shunned by everyone.…

Moving schools away from all of my friends should’ve been an appalling experience, surprisingly, it was a blessing in disguise. I went to Agnes Baptist Elementary from kindergarten to 5th grade and I had friends that I've known since I was 3. I loved it there and knew the school like the back of my hand. Everything was superior, like most good things, though there were times where they weren’t, I was harassed by a bully almost everyday, my grades were getting inadequate, and my mom didn’t want me to be a sad, disconsolate 7th grader at a new junior high. In the result, I moved and I went to Savage Middle School, a school that had 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.…

Alicia Jane Parsons 4.1 Personal Response Essay: Final Draft In the process of finding oneself, we become swarmed with options and choices. The influences of others can play a role in the actions we take and decisions we make, foreshadowing pieces of our future selves. My Junior year of high school, two best friends on my cheerleading team had a falling out and the events between them greatly affected their ability to work together. We were all members of the same stunt group along with another girl who was unaware of the problem. In practice, none of our stunts were working very well because both girls were putting less energy into the lifting me so the other would have to put more into it. I was not aware that they had a falling out, but after being dropped on the floor multiple times, I took them aside to talk to them. They refused to talk to me together, so I talked to them one on one.…

Not everybody will like you—it’s a statement I've always heard, understood and accepted. What I didn't realized until fairly recently in my life, is that some people take this to the next level. Some people will hate you for reasons seemingly unknown or unreasonable to you. It all started with the rehearsals of the 2015 school spring musical of The Addams Family that my friend, we'll just refer to him as Pugsley, myself and a couple other friends, were met with the presence of a then junior, who we'll refer to as, Katrina.…

Mrs. Winn’s kindergarten class was probably one of my favorite elementary classes because I had my best guy friend, Cameron, in the class, and it was obviously an easy class for me. I remember whenever we colored anything or did any drawings, my teacher would always compliment my coloring abilities because I knew how to color within the lines; all the other kids had scribbles outside of the lines and their drawings would not be as neat as mine. Cameron and another boy named Jordy were my favorite people in the class and the three of us would always hang out together and play outside during recess. Jordy was my favorite until he snitched on me and told the teacher I did something I did not do. He eventually died out of my life because I did…

One of the most anticipated events that seniors in high school look forward to is the senior prom. Truthfully, I never had much interest and had no plans on going to prom mostly due to the fact that I was really bashful and unconfident. Even still, my friends would constantly ask whether or not I was going to attend prom. I would tell them “I don’t know” every time, but since it was finally my senior year, my friends filled me with guilt, saying that I would regret not going to our final high school dance. After constantly thinking and being jealous of all the prom proposals that were happening, I decided I would go to prom with only month remaining.…
