My most important reasons for having friends are to not be alone, to have someone to chill with, and to add more joy and happiness in my life. Being by myself is not something I look forward to. Self understanding. Before I look for friends, I have to know what I want to look for, what my ideal friend is and what I want to give to him or her. Building a friendship is easy, once I recognize these principles.
Communication. To maintain a friendship you have to stay in contact with your friend. Whether it is by talking over the phone or sending texts, the main way you show your interest is by speaking with him or her on a frequent basis. Communication is also key because in order to have a strong relationship you have to understand one another.
