My Five Senses Project Have you ever had the most delicious thing you have ever tasted as soon as you sank your teeth into it? Max and Erma’s cheeseburgers are my favorite food! It looks and tastes so good. Just looking at it will make your mouth water. When you look at it, you can see the juice dripping off the meat. You can see the cheese glimmer from the light. Also, the bread is shiny from the melted butter. If you just look at it, you will want to eat it. Let’s not forget about how it tastes. When you bit into the cheeseburger, you can feel the tenderness of the meat in your mouth. You can also taste the creaminess of the cheese in your mouth The bread feels so warm and soft in your mouth; as if it just came out of the oven. When you

MOTIVATION AND BACKGROUND OF PROBLEM/OPPORTUNITY Chipotle and Qdoba are two competing Mexican Grills in the Springfield, Missouri area. The two restaurants are compared frequently because of their similarities in price and choice of food and drink. Rodney the Porcupine Lazy, large, and lumpy describe the personality and body traits that lie in Rodney, the picnic-crashing porcupine. The spikes lining his back could pierce through anything that they came across. Therefore, he retained the ability to break into sandwich bags or other food storage containers with ease. Preston Wolfe Mr. Jeffrey Stuckey English Composition 2 June 23rd, 2017 Book Review - First Bite: How we learn to eat This is an informative book about eating: about how taste preferences are formed, and how we can change them, and why it's so hard to start eating healthily when you're used to the opposite, and about eating disorders and their treatment. One of the things I learned from this book is that I do not enjoy reading about eating for nearly 300 pages. It is very clear that this book, while informative, is very dry. Written by a British author, Bee Wilson, this book is comparable to finding out how many licks it takes to get to the center of a lollypop.…

Every time I walk into Texas Roadhouse my eyes wonder over to where the rolls and their special cinnamon butter waiting to be consumed by the customer. I hear country music playing in the background, and feel peanuts crumbling under my feet like leaves on a beautiful autumn day. Without looking at the menu, my mind is already preparing my stomach for the flavorful food that I am about to encounter. Texas Roadhouse gives the Newark population somewhere local to get a great steak while getting a significate value. From personal experience most of the other steakhouses will get very pricey for a family of five making it difficult to dine at their restaurant while living on a tight budget.…

This review, made by Carol Haggas, describes the theme or message that arises from reading Masumoto’s novel, Four Seasons In Five Senses. Haggas discusses the idea of savouring food, rather taking the time to enjoy the taste from food, like peaches. Haggas describes Masumoto’s writing of his peaches to be loving and lyrical. Masumoto’s writing style is also considered to be elegant by Haggas. I plan on using this review as a comparison in the different styles of writing between Masumoto’s novels.…

Fries taste good because fast food companies use artificial flavoring and beef tallow oils in their fries which ensures uniform taste, customer satisfaction, and competition. In the article "Why Fries Taste So Good," the author, Eric Schlosser, argues that the main factor in the success of the fast food industry is artificial flavoring and food coloring. He explains how chemical flavors created by flavorists give fast food its taste and smell, and explains the difference between artificial and natural flavors. He argues that natural and artificial flavors have the same chemical makeup and that the difference between them is the process in which they are made.…
