It 's hard to believe that my first year as a Tennessee Vol is nearly complete. Looking back at the memories I 've made and the things that I 've experienced, it 's hard to put those things into words.

I look back to where I was a year ago, and it 's amazing how far I 've come. A year ago I had no idea where I was going to college, I began to question what I wanted to do with my life, and I forgot to enjoy life. My high school basketball career had just come to an end, I had the opportunity to watch our girls compete for a State Championship, I was a month and a half from graduating high school, and I was on my way to Washington, D.C. and New York City for the first time in my life, and I was selected to go to National FCCLA in DC for my chapter website with one of my best friends. I was truly blessed with more than I could ever imagine at the time; but I let the stress of college and this "adulting" thing interfere with enjoying the ride I was on. I finally confirmed my attendance to the University of Tennessee- Knoxville on May 1st and decided to challenge myself and double major in Kinesiology and Sport Management (two of the best decisions I 've ever made in my life).

My summer flew by with work, a trip to Knoxville for orientation, and National FCCLA in Washington, D.C. I found myself spending less time with friends and family and focussing more on what I needed for college and the things I wanted to get done before I left on August 15th.
