This is the life in New York City. I was just eight years old and knew these were the only things you need in the city. I closed my eyes and spun around, smelling the air. It was wet and misty, my favorite type of weather. When I’m excited or nervous my mom braids my hair so it’ll be out of my way. I reenact famous walking in the movies, my parents laughing at my sudden change. Cafe shops, toy stores are what catches my eye and leaves me breathless. I had no idea what that store was but once I got inside, I almost passed-out. There in the front of the store was a huge ferris well that said Toys R Us. Once we got a ride on the ferris wheel we explored the store. I looked up and saw five sections of the store. There was rows and rows and rows of toys, this was a dream come true. My parent’s friend, who I consider as my Aunt told me, “Pick out any toy girls and a toy for your brother and we’ll buy it.” I was ecstatic, we could get any toy that we want.
