How better would someone show that their family is important to them without putting tattoo images on their body for everyone to see? In my pre-teen years, I began to want tattoos, but I never knew exactly what I wanted. Then, after my eighteenth birthday, I started coming up with different ideas, constantly searching through Pinterest. Finally, I realized that my family means a great deal to me and I wanted to express that respect and tell several stories on my arm. The reason I got the butterfly was because my mom has a butterfly tattoo on her foot. Her reason for getting the butterfly was that she has always enjoyed butterflies. I wanted to get a tattoo that showed the close bond that my mom and I have. My mom is always there for me when I need someone to talk to. I go to my mom to talk to her about most of my problems, even though most girls would run to their friends to get advice. She has been there every step of the way to guide me in the rigjt path. Every Saturday morning, if I am not working, her and I will go to the grocery store together and have bonding time. After the grocery store, we sometimes go to lunch, but eat it before my brother and sister find out. We will also have random shopping days, sometimes on Sundays she will wake me up and ask if I want to go to the mall with her to get “some stuff” which we end up spending too much money but it is always fun. My mom is one of my best friends and I wanted to show that with the butterfly tattoo. My butterfly is blue, black and white and it looks like it is flying.
