Personal Narrative: My First Memester Of College

My first semester here at MSU was everything like I imagined it would be, but at the same time nothing I imagined it would be. I knew it was going to be stressful, but I was not prepared for all the stress that was to come. I am so relieved to be done with my first semester of college because at first I really had no idea what to expect. I think I am going to nap for all of winter break. I was very excited to start college, as any graduated high school senior is to begin their life. I love my cat and I really wanted to bring her with me because I snuggle with her when I am sad. Move in day was one of the craziest experiences that I have had here. Everyone was running around trying to get carts. I either was in a really good mood or a really bad mood. But whether I had a good or bad time, I am very happy I came to Michigan State, I could not imagine going anywhere else, and I look forward to the rest of time that I will spend here working on my degree. This class was actually one of my favorites and I think that you are a great professor Ms. Wiley. I really liked how the projects were very modern and we got to write about things that really excite us. I loved that you gave us the assignment and then let us go in any direction that we chose. In my storify, I included receiving an A on my first college writing paper from you. I thought that was an important moment in my college career because after all the time I spent writing and worrying about it, you reminded me of how I can do great things when I set my mind to it. Being the first in the family to take interest in college is already enough for everyone to push me in the direction to achieving it. Opinioned doesn’t sound as an appealing word to me I should say I like for people to understand my views completely also I don’t mind if someone does not agree with me, it just adds more depth to the discussion.…

During my freshsman year of highschool, I made a long term goal to become the cross country captain by senior year. I listened to the upperclassmen on the team and took their advice as I matured throughout each season. I understood that in order to become captain of the team I would have to work my tail off. The obstacles that stood in the way included competition between other schools and whether or not I would put work in during the offseason. I challenged myself to get through these obstacles by working out in the offseason.…
